OUR OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES
The City of Sioux City's Employee Recognition Program was created to honor employees who perform above and beyond the call of duty. The employees listed below are recognized through their outstanding accomplishments, cost saving efforts, customer service and consistent performance.

The City Manager introduced the "Exemplary Team Service Award" in April 2007. This traveling trophy will be awarded to employees who exemplify the concept of working together as a team to achieve great things. If you would like to nominate a group of employees, please contact the City Manager's Office at 712-279-6102.

Sioux City Field Services Team Members
Please join me in thanking the Field Services team members for their outstanding response to the ice and snow storms this winter. Their hard work and dedication should not be overlooked.
Each team member deserves our sincere thanks and the special recognition that has been bestowed upon them. This past April, team members were presented the “Exemplary Team Service” award. This award was presented to Field Service employees by Mayor Berenstein and City Manager Paul Eckert for exemplifying the concept of working together as a team to achieve great things. The crews worked around the clock, utilizing every employee in the department, to combat and conquer the severe snow storms.
You are indeed an asset to the City organization. Thank you all for all that you do!

Our Latest Outstanding Employee!
 Paul Eckert, Sheri Young
Sheri Young played an instrumental role in organizing the dedication ceremony for the Irving F. Jensen Jr. Bridge. She worked effectively with other staff members to properly plan and assemble materials, supplies and staffing needed for this event. She tirelessly performed this work while being very positive, energetic and motivating. This major event was organized in addition to the performance of her regular duties, which she performs with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication which were applied to this special project. Sheri approaches her daily duties with a commitment to make Sioux City a better community.
